Finally Aishwarya Rai married Abhishek Bachchan on 20th of April 2007 at "Prateeksha"-one of the Bachchans'houses another is jalsa. Their marriage took place for three days and according to the hindu tradition.Their ceremony took place for three days from 18th of april to 20th of april.

There was a big crowd of bollywood actors and actresses to wish the couple.Ajay Devgan, Kajol, Sanjay Dutt, Preity Zinta, Suniel Shetty, Sonali Bendre.Press and fans were not allowed to be the part of the ceremony,infact Amitabh bachchan requested his neighbours' not to allow press people to go to the top of the building.

Incidents after their marriage
# A girl by name Janvi kapoor attempted suicide infront of Bachchans' bungalow ,she told media persons as she had relationship with Abhishek and now he married aishwarya rai , There are even more background stories of "Naina" who is called Janvi kapoor in bollywood.She has acted in some small roles and has acted in "Dus" with Abhishek which is in favour of what she says.

# Aishwarya Rai and abhishek bachchan visited Tirupati after their marriage and its not yet clear whether it was a compulsary ritual suggested as she was a mangalik or if they visited it only to get blessed by the rich god venkateshwara.
